Developing and maintaining an effective content strategy can be a challenge. By looking at the questions your audience and customers ask most about key topics, products or services and creating content – articles, blog posts, whitepapers, videos – to answer them, you will have a receptive and genuinely interested audience.
When mining for questions, look at your own internal help desk, sales inquiries and interview sales and customer support staff to find out what questions to people ask most. What is the strangest or most difficult question they have had to answer? Look at your own Google Analytics to see incoming search terms and phrases.
If you’re starting from scratch, search Google in the form of a question and at the bottom of the page look for the “people also ask” box. It won’t appear for all search results but when it does, the questions should provide insight on content to provide.
Another tool to see what people are asking about key topics? Answer The Public allows you to type in a subject and see questions that people ask most.
Sometimes the answer lies in the question.
